2018 - NBHA SC 04 - Barrel Racing Jan 20th
It was a sunny day and shot all afternoon. With the challenging light, I focused on using two cameras. After a time through the day I started shooting with slow shutter speeds... some at 1/100, 1/160 and 1/200 of a sec. Got some neat motion blur and some pretty cool panning shots.
Switching between my close barrel camera (7D Mark II with a 17-40mm lens) to the far two barrel's camera (5D Mark 4 with a 300 mm F 2.8 lens) both hand held was OK, unless the horse was a lefty.
So I'm going to explore a remote to take pics with the second camera next time. Jim Killian is an inspiration as always. It should be fun to learn how to set it up with the wireless remote.
